Fresh start

One of the few things that has kept me sane all these years is this, my sketchbook. At times they could be filled with lavish and colourful drawings from my imagination...others they're reduced to scrawlling ramblings of angst and frustration. Often they become mindless doodles, my hands never wanting to sit still. Lately my hobby has been infused with a motivation to push, to work, to grind my hands into the paper. To create something meaningful, beautiful... and sometimes just to simply create. My goals now are reaching their deadlines.

Here is one of the tattoo designs I've been working on. This is for Heather! Let me know if you like it, and if I should alter anything. I'm a little unsure of the font...Hrmmm. Haha.

This is drawn from a photo I took in Cambodia. She was the prettiest little street girl, twirling and smiling (a cute crooked smile) while her family sold roasted bananas.

I like the feather on that tattoo...but you're right about the font being not quite on...I think that the feather is kind of a symbol of strength in a way...and having such a light script beside it kind of take away from that. I get that you're going for a breezy look with the feather and wind and all that...but maybe something just a little bit stiffer...I dunno...

I agree. It doesn't fit with the flow from the feather to the moon. This was actually the second drawing of the design, not much had changed. The script was only slightly different, but smaller and more structured (all the lines straight).

It's surprising on how the most miniscule changes can affect the whole design.
